Elegant 1st Empire French lyre clock c.1810 -20. The case of ormolu bronze with very fine detailing and applied mounts. The movement signed Hemon (clockmaker and Ledure (bronzecaster) – a noted partnership in fine clockmaking in the Empire period.
Eight-day silk-suspension movement, white enamel dial, blued steel Breguet hands, pendulum features a gilt head of Apollo. Striking hours and halves on a bell.
